At Eltin, we believe in the power of sharing knowledge and pedal strokes. That’s why we organised a new cycling mechanics workshop at El Corte Inglés in Salamanca, led by Charly (BiciLAB), one of the leading figures in the Spanish-speaking cycling community. A practical, friendly session full of useful tips to keep your bike always ready to ride.

On 3 October, we held a new mechanics workshop for cycling enthusiasts. This time, the event took place at El Corte Inglés in Salamanca and brought together more than 25 cycling fans for a practical, enjoyable and insightful session.

The workshop was led by Charly, one of the founders and members of the well-known media outlet BiciLAB. If you’re into cycling, chances are you’ve seen one of their videos on their YouTube channel or listened to an episode of their podcast, which is steadily becoming a reference in the Spanish-speaking cycling community.

During the nearly two-hour workshop, participants were able to dive into key mechanical topics, ask questions and learn useful tips and tricks to keep their bikes in top condition. Beyond the technical content, the event was a great opportunity to share experiences, talk about cycling and build community around a shared passion – the bicycle.

At Eltin, we continue to support this type of initiative that brings cycling closer to people, promotes learning and strengthens the connection between brands, shops and riders. We firmly believe that training and community events are essential for the growth of the cycling ecosystem and to ensure it’s ever better prepared to keep pedalling further and stronger. We’ll certainly keep working to make that happen.

Essential tools and accessories featured in the workshop

We’d like to take this opportunity to share some of the basic tools Charly used during the workshop – items every cyclist should have for proper bike maintenance. We’re talking about pumps, Allen keys, multitools, lubricant, chains and other specific tools.

And if it’s been a while since your last ride, make sure to check your gear to ensure a complete tune-up.
