Tyres

WHAT TYRE TO CHOOSE FOR YOUR BIKE?
Tyres are an essential part of our bike, as they are the only component in contact with the surface. Choosing the right tyres will provide you with comfort and safety.
There are many types of tyres on the market, so it’s important to know which ones are compatible with the rims of your bike.
WHAT TYPES OF TYRES EXIST?
Depending on the characteristics of the area where you usually ride, you should choose MTB tyres or road bike tyres.
The market is vast, and you’ll find a wide range of tyres with very different characteristics: tyre size, tread patterns, width, and more.
No matter what type of bike you use and the characteristics of your area, Eltin offers a variety of tyres.
WHAT ARE THE TYRE SIZES?
Depending on the type of bike you use and your preferences, you’ll need to consider what tyre size you need.
For road or urban bikes, the standard size is 28 inches or 700mm, and what changes is the width. Classic or vintage bikes may also have 26-inch wheels.
For MTB tyres, the most common sizes are 26”, 27.5”, and 29”.
26” is usually used for mountain biking, freestyle, freeride, enduro, and downhill.
27.5” is used for mountain biking, enduro, XC, and downhill.
29” is used for marathons, XC, and rally.
WHAT TOOLS DO I NEED FOR THE TYRES?
Tools are essential accessories that should not be overlooked and are vital for cycling.
The first tool you must have is tyre levers. They will help you remove the tyre from the rim and then remount it.
Another important tool for tyres is a pump to inflate the wheels. If you use tubeless tyres, it's important to always have sealant at home.
