Scooter Valves

Types of Valves and Valve Cores for Bicycles
There are several types of valves for bicycle inner tubes. The most common are Schrader and Presta valves. Their main difference is the thickness, with Schrader measuring 8.5mm and Presta 6.5mm.

The valve core is where the mechanism of the valve resides, acting as a one-way valve that allows air to enter but not exit.

What is the Valve Adapter for?
An adapter is used to change a Presta valve to a Schrader valve, allowing you to inflate your bike tires at any service station or with any car tire inflator.

Do You Know What a Tap is?
You may have never needed to use this small tool, but you never know when it might be your first time.

  • It is used to tighten or loosen a vital part of the valve in our inner tubes or suspensions: the valve core.

  • The valve core is where the mechanism resides, allowing air to enter but not escape.

  • If the valve core loosens, the air pressure in the inner tube will gradually decrease.

Always use the tap by hand. Never use pliers, as you may damage the threads and ruin the valve.
